People who use the Metro after taking flights to Dubai could find the network is more pleasant to use than before as the system is set to run more quietly.
The Roads and Transport Authority has announced it is joining with German company Gerb Worldwide to find ways of making the transport system run more smoothly and reduce the level of noise it creates.
Steps to achieve this will include reducing the vibrations and sound caused in areas adjoining the tracks, although it noted this noise is a natural result of the trains travelling along the tracks when filled with passengers.
